My lovely pets

Here is all the information you would ever want to know about my pets. Probably more than you care about.

Skippy

Skippy in her younger days

Well, here is my dog Skippy. She was born in 1991 and I adopted her when I was 9 years old. The name may sound stupid but it's better then some of the other names my family came up with. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious come to mind. So, after much debate we decided on Skippy and I think that that name fit her very well. She celebrated her 14th birthday in May of 2005. Sadly, she passed away in August of that same year due to a problem with her trachea. She was and still is my best friend. And considering that the average lifespan of a Basset Hound is 9 years, getting to 14 is pretty impressive.I'm putting her up on this page because that's simply where she belongs. She'll always be in my heart.

Raucous Rodents Part 2

And here's my little Smeagol

Well, here's the two new additions to my family. Smaug and Smeagol. They came from the Seattle animal shelter. As you may have noticed Smeagol is missing his front left leg. That was a birth defect. I saw him and I knew I had to have him. They both seem to be getting along so far. But they are brothers after all. So they do a lot of squabbling. At 10 weeks old they're pre-teens as far as rats go. Smeagol is a biter however. I am trying to train that bad habit out of him. I'll have updates on how it's going.

Mitch

These two are brothers and they love each other. I tried separating them one time and they got depressed. I felt so bad for them that I had to put them back together. They're in a much bigger cage now and I think they're pretty happy.

Both Mitch and Jeff have passed away but I'm leaving them on this page. Because just like Skippy, they belong here.

Rest In Peace Skippy
